The Viinikanjoki river
The Viinikanjoki river is a peaceful haven located near the center of Parkano. Known for its excellent fishing opportunities, the river is also a popular recreational area. In Leijonapuisto, a park by the river, visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities, including mini-golf, pétanque, outdoor chess, and relax at the Kosken Helmi terrace café. The park is also home to ITE art, which adds a unique cultural touch to the natural setting.

- Aholanlahti (Kuivasjärvi) – Another accessible boat launch point located on Kuivasjärvi.
- Rännärin Bridge area at Järvisuomentie (Linnanjärvi, Kaidatvedet) – A convenient spot near Linnanjärvi and Kaidatvedet for boat launching.

Elämyskellari (Simway Hunt)
Elämyskellari, SimWay Hunt in Parkano is Finland’s largest hunting and shooting simulator, featuring a massive 8-meter wide screen. Users can experience hunting moose, wild boar, and birds, or practice target shooting and clay pigeon shooting.
There’s also an opportunity for a Wild West pistol adventure. The setup offers a dynamic experience with the help of two projectors to enhance the simulation.

Outdoor gym
The outdoor gym equipment is suitable for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
The area is well-lit and accessible via Rantakodonkatu, with parking available nearby. The gym is also accessible by car and is wheelchair-friendly. However, vehicles must be parked in a way that doesn’t obstruct traffic.
